The Flying Seagull Project

Through this trip, we have decided to support a wonderful charity called
« The Flying Seagull Project ».
We hope that our journey across Europe will be of help to them and that our project will raise funds to support their work.
We are fortunate to be able to travel and live out our dream..
Through The Flying Seagull Project, we are committed to helping those who cannot do so themselves, and we hope to help bring laughter and joy to children and families facing difficult and desperate circumstances.
Who are they ?
The Flying Seagull Project is a UK based charity.
They travel to disadvantaged regions around the world and work with the vulnerable, abandoned or displaced… Children and families whose lives have not been as they should be.
They spread joy across the globe through music, art, circus and dance by organising games, workshops and performances. They create safe and supportive spaces where young people can let go of their heavy burdens and simply be children..
We share the same beliefs…
They believe that everyone has the right to laugh and enjoy their life, no matter what their financial, physical, psychological or societal situation.
They believe play, creativity and laughter is essential to a child’s development and therefore to the community as a whole.
They believe that energy and positivity are contagious, and they intend to spread them as far and as widely as possible.
They believe the purpose of learning something is so that you can offer to share it with someone else, somewhere else, sometime else.
They believe that a stranger is a member of the family who they simply haven’t met yet.
They believe the first point of contact with anyone should be a smile.
Where have they been ?
Since 2008, they have brought laughter and joy to 24 countries: Albania, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Colombia, Croatia, France, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Hungary, India, Jordan, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
A helping hand…
If you’d like to support our project, please do so by donating to The Flying Seagull Project.
However, if you’d also like to support us directly on our walk and give us a little help, you can do so via the link below.
Whatever you give will help us cover the cost of our kit for this trip, ferry tickets, day-to-day expenses (a quick coffee, a sandwich, a hot shower, etc.) and any unexpected costs that may crop up along the way…
Your support will be greatly appreciated, and we thank you very much.
